About this Project
New to NZ, the Kenworth T410 commands a massive presence. With it’s bright colour options and height, this truck will surely be noticed. Built in Australia this T410 has not traveled far to find a home here.
The customer was looking for PPF package which protect the prime areas at the front from stone chipping. 3M SGH12 and Premium Shield Paint Elite Paint Protection Film were used to provide the best levels of protection.
- Remove contaminants from surface for PPF
- Template on the truck which areas are to be protected
- Custom fit PPF film to leading front areas excluding chrome bumper
- Custom fit PPF film to drivers side kick plate
Products of choice for this project were 3MSGH12 and Premium Shield Elite. This film is tough enough to deal with the daily needs of a line haul truck.
The 3M film provides a clear, non-yellowing, fitting with the edges closely matched. While the Premium Shield Elite was used to protect the drivers door entry kick plate.
With many moulded curves, the best choice here was to custom fit. In addition, no templates are available nor likely to be made with soo many uneven surfaces creating waste and the varying options of cover which a client might choose.
